K - 8 Wait List - Updated June 2010.
Like to know more about us?
We conduct informational tours for the public and all interested families to learn more about our school and our programs. All families must attend an informational tour and complete the interest form prior to being placed on the wait list.
Steps to Enrolling at OCEAA.
1. Parent Attends a Tour: All tours are conducted in both English and Spanish and the prospective student’s parent must attend one of the following dates:
1st October, 2010
5th November, 2010
7th January, 2011
4th February, 2011
4th March, 2011
We may have one in May 2011 - please check back here closer to the date for more information.
2. Tour Time: 9am to 10am. You must arrive by 8:45am in order to sign in, receive instructions and get situated. Persons will not be allowed to enter after 9:05am.
3. Interest Form: After the tour, you will complete an interest form if you feel OCEAA is a good match for your family. The interest form is assigned a number and it adds your child’s name to the waitlist according to grade level (names are drawn using a lottery system and added to the list this way).
4. After the Tour: It’s a matter of waiting now. How fast your child is called to enroll is dependent on many factors, primarily how many children leave the school. In the meantime, get a letter of recommendation from your child’s school teacher (for 2nd through 8th) and keep the most recent report card and state test results handy in case you get a call from us.
5. Two-Way Bilingual Immersion (TWBI) Program: there is a separate 1-hour orientation that must be attended. Dates and times are to be announced. Your child can still be added to the waitlist for the TWBI program but it is mandatory that the parent attend both a regular tour and the dual program orientation to enter the program.
