3rd Grade Quilt Project ~ June 2010.

As part of their unit on life in the 1800s, the third graders learned many people sewed and used quilts.
Each third grader decorated a quilt square depicting an activity they enjoy and Mrs. Schmid (Mrs. Ratnaweera's mom) sewed the squares together to make a quilt.
The quilt was then auctioned and sold for $150!
All of the money will be used to buy books for third grade units.

Garden Grill Wins Award of Excellence. ~ Monday, March 15th, 2010.

For the second year running, our fabulous nutritional service staff have been awarded the Orange County Health Care Agency’s Environmental Health Division's Award of Excellence.
The Environmental Health’s Food Protection Program recognizes facilities for their outstanding safety and sanitation practices each year. The certificate acknowledges the dedication of the recipients and highlights their diligent efforts in preventing health code violations.

Congratulations to Chef Sean and all of OCEAA's nutritional service staff! We are so proud of you and really appreciate the healthy, tasty and safe food you serve us every day!

3rd Annual OCEAA Jog-A-Thon ~ 26th February 2010.

A healthy, happy day was had by all at the 3rd Annual Jog-A-Thon.

Chef Sean cooked up some fantastic chicken on the barbie and students worked up an appetite on the field of dreams...sack races, tug-o-war and hula hoops competing with track and calisthenics for the students' energy.
We thank all the students, faculty & parents involved in the day who made it so successful & so much fun!

Soles-4-Souls Shoe Drive ~ 25th - 29th January 2010.

Thanks to everyone who donated all the gently used and new shoes to the OCEAA Soles-4-Souls Shoe Drive to benefit Haiti earthquake victims. 5th Annual Fall Festival ~ Friday, October 23rd 2009.

We had a great turn out at our 5th Annual Fall Festival and want to thank everyone, especially our volunteers, for making it a great success!
We had a wonderful dinner made by our very own Chef Sean, coupled with lots of fun, music, games and of course many fantastic costumes!
Congratulations to all our raffle prize winners, we hope you enjoy your gifts.

Dance Culmination ~ October 2009.

Over the course of 7 weeks, teachers and students worked with Resident Artists from the Orange County Performing Arts Center and focused on learning one of the four art disciplines; music, art, dance, or theater.

October culminated with four amazing performances in each art discipline. OCEAA is very proud of the progress all the students made. A BIG thank you to all teachers on staff that worked very hard with the artist, ensuring students had the best experience possible.
