KEDS – Kids Expanded Day School

Direct Line – 714-361-1850

KEDS offers instruction and adds to the cultural, intellectual, and spiritual wealth of our students. Our program is open to all students attending OCEAA. The focus of KEDS is to provide academic assistance, behavior guidance and enrichment in an effort to help our students succeed in school and in life.  Our goal in KEDS is to help create and foster well-rounded individuals.

The program operates everyday the school is in session, even on early release days. Students enjoy educational activities that complement the school curriculum. The program is comprised of 2 groups of students, KEDS ELECT and KEDS ASES. KEDS ELECT was developed to assist working families. Students are not required to stay until the end of the program and are able to leave once parents arrive to pick them up. KEDS ASES program was designed for students identified for intervention. Students must be recommended by a teacher or administrator in order to be considered ASES. The ASES program ensures after school academic support, homework assistance, test preparation and enrichment for improved student performance. The After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program is the result of the 2002 voter-approved initiative, Proposition 49. ASES students have the highest priority at the time of enrollment. ASES students must attend KEDS daily Monday- Friday until the programs end time at 6:00 pm. All students in the program are provided a nutritious snack and supper.
